About the event
"Un peep show per Cenerentola" is first of all a stage setting, a talking stage set, a dance theatre creation, conceived for a peep show, a place that feeds on glances, on eyes that see without being seen. The stage consists of a circular platform, at the edge of which are 14 booths for as many spectators. The space thus designed establishes a close, almost secret relationship between the actors on stage and the audience. In the 1920s, the peep show served to entice and stimulate the senses in a sophisticated atmosphere; today it gets a new chance: Teatro la Ribalta-Art of Diversity turns it into a stage that fits the Corona era: The safety distance is guaranteed, yet the performance can be followed live and in company. The figure of Cinderella serves as a pretext, a mind game to address sexual desire, appearance and beauty.
