About the event

Since Giovanni Boccaccio first read publicly from the work of his contemporary Dante Alighieri in 1373, interest in and enthusiasm for Dante's Divine Comedy has continued unabated to this day. A milestone in the reception of Dante in the 20th century is the essay "Conversation on Dante" by the Russian poet Osip Mandel'stam. It is thanks to him that we have brought Dante down to earth from the Olympus of the classics and experienced Dante's poetic language as a "device for capturing the future". Roberto Benigni, whose performance "Tutto Dante" on the Piazza Santa Croce in Florence and later on TV thrilled millions of viewers, also succeeded in portraying Dante in all his human tribulations and conveying the force of his poetry at first hand.

adventura dantis takes up this tradition of Lectura Dantis and stages the political-poetic explosive power of Dante's project for the stage. Citizens of Bressanone and the surrounding area as well as artists are invited to read, comment on or perform "their" Dante. The divine night promises to be a magnificent festival with different languages, voices and art forms, in which the social and culinary aspects will not be neglected.

An event organised by Dekadenz Brixen in collaboration with Vereinigte Bühnen Bozen.

The ticket price includes a drink of your choice and a plate of ribollita.

Admission from 7 p.m. with people coming and going as they please. From 10 pm clubbing in the foyer of the Astra
