The German cellist Pauline Stephan and the Italian pianist Gianluca Faragli are an emblematic example of virtuous collaboration between the two cultures of Italy and Germany. These young artists have already achieved a high reputation on numerous occasions, winning prizes in prestigious competitions and performing in important concert seasons.

They will perform Beethoven's Sonata No. 2 in G minor, a classic work that is already full of passionate romantic impulses, Arvo Pärt's mystical and almost esoteric Spiegel im Spiegel, and finally Shostakovich's sonata, one of the masterpieces of cellist literature not only of the 20th century but of all time, full of ingenious ideas and unexpected inventions, which alternate skilfully in an eclectic and inspired narrative.
