Hofburg by Flashlight – An Exclusive Evening Tour in German

When the doors of the Hofburg close and dusk falls over Brixen, a truly special experience begins: a guided tour of the former bishop's residence – lit only by your flashlight.

After a brief introduction in the atmospheric courtyard, you'll embark on a fascinating journey through the historic building. From the Chamber of the Court Council the tour leads through the Diocesan Museum, featuring selected artworks from across the diocese. Precious reliquaries, magnificent vestments from the cathedral treasury, and the baroque court church are revealed in a dramatic interplay of light and shadow.

On the second floor awaits you the baroque rooms with the imperial quarters, the bishop's quarters, and additional exhibition rooms showcasing art up to the 20th century.

The evening atmosphere, combined with the focused beam of a flashlight, gives familiar artworks and spaces an entirely new character – mysterious, intense, and intimate.
