Film presentation - Becoming me

Marion, born female, becomes Marian, a man. Filmmaker Martine De Biasi accompanies him through this process with her camera - an attempt to process her own thoughts and feelings and to capture Marian's doubts and fears and his desire for normality. At the same time, she raises the question: What is considered normal and desirable in (South Tyrolean) society? What is considered reprehensible? What does it mean for a person if he or she cannot fulfil the role that society ascribes to him or her?

This film deals with these questions about the right, honest, authentic life - the questions that accompany Dante's Commedia - and thus shakes the foundations of our (South Tyrolean) society, our concept of identity.
