International Museum Day

As part of the International Museum Day, a combined guided tour of the Diocesan Museum Hofburg Bressanone and the cathedral district is offered in German and Italian at 3 pm. The permanent exhibition, including the bishop's and emperor's apartments, as well as the Bressanone Cathedral with its cloister and St. John's Chapel will be visited. The tour of the museum and the cathedral district will draw attention to the historical-political background of the Hofburg and its function as the bishop's residence. A tour of the museum offers insight into the various epochs and developments in art and provides information about the living culture of the bishops.
